Human Gene Set: LEE_BRCAGENIE_PRS_POS

Standard name LEE_BRCAGENIE_PRS_POS
Systematic name M50218
Brief description Genes from the 107-gene BRCAGenie PRS model (without forward stepwise selection) with positive multivariate Cox coefficients; identified via hypothesis-free machine learning of the TCGA-BRCA cohort.
Full description or abstract This study conducted a machine learning-based survival analysis on the Cancer Genome Atlas Breast Cancer (TCGA-BRCA) cohort, the authors identified a novel gene signature for a robust polygenic risk score (PRS) model. Feature selection involving univariate Cox and LASSO Cox regression constructed a 107-gene PRS model after LASSO Cox regression but before forward stepwise selection. These specific genes exhibit positive multivariate Cox coefficients.
