Human Gene Set: DCA_UP.V1_UP

Standard name DCA_UP.V1_UP
Systematic name M2762
Brief description Genes up-regulated in A549 lung carcinoma and M059K glioblastoma cells treated with dichloroacetate [PubChem=6597].
Full description or abstract Analysis of A549 lung carcinoma and M059K glioblastoma cells treated with dichloroacetate (DCA), an inhibitor of the mitochondrial pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase. DCA shifts metabolism from glycolysis to glucose oxidation and decreases mitochondrial membrane potential in cancer cells.
